Falooda Milkshake (South Africa)

A decadent and refreshing drink to break your fast after a long day, along with a date and Shereen’s Bajias’ recipe.

This is enjoyed during Ramadan by South Africans of South Asian or Malay heritage.

Directions

Shereen doesn’t use exact measurements for this recipe but here are her recommendations:

  1. Use a glass pitcher and fill it halfway with milk.

  2. Add a couple of spoonfuls of the rose syrup to taste.

  3. Top this with a couple of scoops of ice-cream.

  4. Let this sit in the fridge and before serving stir it up
