Falooda Milkshake (South Africa)
A decadent and refreshing drink to break your fast after a long day, along with a date and Shereen’s Bajias’ recipe.
This is enjoyed during Ramadan by South Africans of South Asian or Malay heritage.
Ingredients
milk
vanilla bean ice-cream
Rose syrup
Directions
Shereen doesn’t use exact measurements for this recipe but here are her recommendations:
Use a glass pitcher and fill it halfway with milk.
Add a couple of spoonfuls of the rose syrup to taste.
Top this with a couple of scoops of ice-cream.
Let this sit in the fridge and before serving stir it up
