Chana Boot/Spiced Chickpeas (Bangladesh)
Shereen was born in a rural town in Bangladesh and is the middle of 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
Cooking has always been her passion, and she learned everything about cooking from her mom, though nowadays she also picks up new recipes from the cooking channels she likes to watch.
One of the thing she enjoys most about Ramadan is the spiritual essence of it. She enjoys the fasting because it allows her to look forward to the celebrations at the end of each day.
Below is her Chana Boot recipe. This is a chickpea appetizer that is traditionally only served during the month of Ramadan and that you will find in every household in Bangladesh during this time- it is a great way to replenish you with energy after a day of fasting.
